FAQs
What do you mean by commodification?
The commodification of children and young people ranges from the extremes of slavery and exploitation to the sexualisation of childhood in advertising and extends to policy decisions based on cost rather than need. National and International speakers will address commodification in its various guises.
Who should attend?
Police, social work and social care services, health, education and legal personnel, probation and youth justice staff, members of Local Safeguarding Children’s Boards, key policy and decision makers and stakeholders in the statutory, voluntary and community sector, OFSTED… anyone who wants to challenge the Child Abuse Industry.
Why aren’t you charging more for places at this conference?
It is more important to us that a range of people join this debate rather than using the conference as a profit making venture. We want other professionals to join us in combating the commodification of children and young people.
