DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR REDUCING VIOLENCE FOR YEARS 2010-2014

08.08.2011 | Keete Janter

The development plan deals with violence related to minors, domestic violence and trafficking in human beings.
The types of violence and situations that endanger vulnerable target groups – women and
children – the most and the risk factors of which are often related to each other (e.g. influence of
violence on subsequent violent behaviour) are discussed.

“The Development Plan for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings 2006-2009" focussed mainly
on the topic of sexual exploitation, which is why the activities directed at the reduction of forced
labour, prevention of smuggling of illegal immigrants and improvement of the efficiency of
checking crossing of the border by an unaccompanied and trafficked minors receded into the
background. More importance has been attached to these topics in this “Development Plan for Reducing Violence for Years 2010-2014".
